It is a common enough experience. You read about a variety you have not tried, the smallest listing is 250 grams, and you either commit to the whole thing or skip it. Most people skip it, which is why a lot of buyers end up ordering the same one or two products for years without ever finding out what else the catalog holds.
Sample packs exist to remove that decision. Here is how ours work and how to get the most out of one.
What is in a sample pack
We run two, one for each format, both capped at one per household.
Powder

Fourteen grams is a working quantity rather than a token amount. It is enough to open, portion, and store like you would any other purchase, which is the only way to learn anything useful about a product.
Capsules
Free EXP Kratom Capsule Samples is ten capsules at 500mg each, in Green Maeng Da, Red Vein, White Vein, or our Ménage à Trois blend.
This one answers a different question than the powder sample does. It is less about which variety and more about whether the capsule format fits how you prefer to store and portion. If you have only ever bought powder, ten capsules is a cheaper way to find that out than a 300-count bottle.
One note on the arithmetic: the sample capsules are filled at 500mg each, while our EXP Premium bottles are filled at 650mg. The counts are not directly comparable between the two.

How to choose your two
The powder sample makes you pick two out of eighteen, which is genuinely harder than it sounds. Two approaches that work.
Pick two from the same vein color. Say two greens, or two whites. This tells you something about how sourcing lanes differ within a category, and it is the more useful comparison if you already know which category you tend to buy.
Pick two from different vein colors. This covers more of the catalog in a single order. Better if you are new and mapping the range rather than refining inside it.
Either way, the thing not to do is order two and open both at once. Open one pouch, finish it, then start the next. Two pouches open at the same time is two products aging at the same time, and neither of them stays at its best.

When a sample is the wrong tool
Samples are for products you have not bought before. They are a poor way to buy product you already know you want, because the per-gram cost of a 14g pouch is nowhere near the per-gram cost of anything larger.

One thing samples cannot tell you
Powder and capsules are the same leaf material in two presentations, so the variety names carry across both. Extracts are a different category, made by concentrating the leaf rather than milling it, and a powder sample tells you nothing about them.

Are the samples the same product as the full-size bags?
Yes. Same lineup, same lab testing, same cGMP packaging. The only difference is quantity.
