5 Kratom Recipes That Actually Taste Good

For kratom users, finding an acceptable way to take the herb may be a challenge. Kratom is infamous for its bitter, unpleasant taste, but many users swear that its effects are worth putting up with the cringe while ingesting it.

However, kratom powder may be mixed into drinks, taken as capsules, and even put into foods, so there are ways to enjoy the substance without having to put up with the bitterness. To eliminate the need for trial and error, here are five of our favorite kratom recipes:

nuwave kratom recipes mint chocolate milkshake

Kratom Mint Chocolate Milkshake

One of the easiest ways to enjoy a kratom recipe is to blend it into a drink. This mint chocolate milkshake is the perfect blend of refreshing and filling, and does such a good job of masking the bitterness of kratom that you’ll think you forgot to add it in! Perfect for dessert or a hot summer day, this kratom mint chocolate milkshake is sure to become a staple in your kratom recipe repertoire.

  • 1 cup of your favorite milk
  • 1 large scoop mint chocolate ice cream
  • 2 tsp of chocolate powder or syrup
  • ½ tsp of vanilla extract
  • 1 serving of Kratom powder

All you have to do for this milkshake is add your milk, ice cream, chocolate, vanilla, and kratom to a blender and hit go. Once the ingredients are thoroughly mixed, you may pour it into a glass and top it off with some whipped cream and a sprig of fresh mint. Sip through a paper straw or eat it with a spoon!

Kratom Fruity Smoothie

Another tasty (and slightly healthier) way to blend kratom into a drink is by preparing a smoothie. Smoothies make great meal replacements as well as sweet treats on warmer days, and any of the fruit we suggest may be swapped out for other fruits. If you don’t want to add ice, you may also freeze your fruit beforehand!

  • ¼ cup of papaya, diced
  • ½ mango, diced
  • 1 whole kiwi, diced
  • ¼ cup of pineapple, diced
  • ½ cup of ice
  • 1 cup of your favorite juice (we recommend apple or orange)
  • 1 serving Kratom powder

Add papaya, mango, kiwi, pineapple, ice, juice, and kratom powder to a blender. Blend well until all of the ingredients are incorporated and the consistency is smooth. Pour the smoothie into a glass and drink up! You can garnish it with a slice of pineapple and a little tiki umbrella, or simply stick a straw in it and go.

nuwave kratom recipes overnight oats kratom

Kratom Overnight Oats

For a more filling meal, overnight oats are nutritious and tasty, and they are super easy to make. Overnight oats are a great source of fiber, omega-3, and proteins, and by adding kratom may be the energy boost you need to kickstart your day. Here is our suggestion for how to prepare the dish.

  • ½ cup old rolled oats
  • ½ cup almond milk
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds
  • 2 teaspoons Greek yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon kratom powder
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Overnight oats are some of the easiest dishes to prepare. Place the oats, milk, chia seeds, yogurt, kratom, honey, and vanilla in a large jar and shake it until all of the ingredients are thoroughly mixed. Leave the closed jar in the fridge overnight (or at least for a couple of hours), and enjoy first thing in the morning! The oats should have absorbed the moisture of the other ingredients and expanded, making an oatmeal-like substance.

Kratom-Infused Açai Bowl

Açai bowls have become one of the most popular health food dishes in the past few years, so it’s no surprise that people have started adding kratom to their own, as well. Açai bowls may be customized with your favorite fruits, as long as they have the açcai-berry base; these berries are loaded with healthy nutrients, including antioxidants, fiber, healthy fats, and more. This recipe mixes kratom with the other amazing and tasty ingredients!

  • 1 frozen açai berry packet (about 100g)
  • ½ cup apple juice concentrate
  • ½ cup frozen strawberries
  • ½ cup frozen blueberries
  • 1 ½ frozen bananas, sliced
  • 1 cup of granola
  • 1 cup of fresh fruit (pick your favorite!)
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp coconut flakes
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 dose Kratom powder

Put frozen açai, apple juice, frozen fruit, and kratom powder in a blender and blend everything until the mixture is smooth. Pour the mixture into a bowl, then top with granola, fresh fruit slices, coconut flakes, and chia seeds. Drizzle the honey evenly across the top of the bowl and enjoy your healthy kratom dish!

This one is for the savory fans out there. For those looking for a way to enjoy their kratom in a savory dish, there are actually tons of options online! From loaded fries to Instant Pot recipes, there are many ways you may infuse kratom into just about anything. This crockpot beef and broccoli dish is one of our favorites, as it’s low-maintenance and delicious, featuring a classic Asian takeout-style meal that you may make at home.

  • 1 ½ lbs flank steak, sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tsp Sriracha
  • 2 tsp garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 5 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 serving of kratom

Spray a crockpot or slow-cooker with non-stick spray and place the beef at the bottom. Mix together beef broth, oyster sauce, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sriracha, and kratom powder. Pour the mixture over the beef and leave it to cook for 1 ½ hours. After the beef cooks, mix ¼ of water and cornstarch and stir it into the crockpot mixture. Place the broccoli florets on top and cook for another 30 minutes. You may serve the dish over white rice, brown rice, or quinoa depending on your preference, and top with sesame seeds and sliced green onion.

What Type of Kratom Should You Get?

There are a few different types of kratom that may suit your needs depending on the effects you’d like to experience. The main three strains of kratom are red, white, and green, and are harvested at different points in the plants’ growth. Depending on dose, strain, and other factors (like cooking it), you may want to pick a specific type. Here’s a rundown on the main three strains:

  • Red Vein: Red vein is one of the most popular strains of kratom, and is thought to have more sedative effects. It is considered the most potent strain.
  • White Vein: White vein kratom is often used for its potential uplifting and stimulating effects.
  • Green Vein: Green vein kratom is considered the best middle-ground between the red and white veins. It may cause stimulating effects in smaller doses and sedative effects in larger ones.
